Doing your own simple automotive upkeep can cut your repair bills and help you become more car-savvy. Once the oil has fully drained, replace the drain plug and torque it to specification. Avoid excessive force or you could damage the threads. Allow 60 seconds for circulation, then check the dipstick. Add more if needed, but avoid overfilling.
